Your data is stored securely using Supabase (a PostgreSQL database with enterprise-grade security). We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted passwords (never stored in plain text)
• HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
• Secure authentication with session management
• Rate limiting to prevent abuse
• Regular security audits and updates

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data only in these cases:

• Public Information: Your username, profile picture, and battle photos are visible to other users
• Service Providers: Supabase (database), Google (OAuth authentication), Stripe (payment processing)
• Payment Processing: Stripe processes all payments and payouts securely

9. Financial Data and Earnings

Payment Processing: All payment transactions are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We never store your credit card information.

Earnings and Payouts: When you win battles, your earnings are tracked in our system and paid out via Stripe Connect. You must connect a Stripe account to receive payouts. Stripe handles all payout processing and tax reporting.

Transaction History: We maintain records of all transactions (battle entries, winnings, payouts) for:

• Displaying your earnings history
• Tax reporting and compliance
• Fraud prevention and dispute resolution
• Legal and regulatory requirements

Tax Reporting: If you earn over $600 in a calendar year, we are required to report your earnings to tax authorities. You are responsible for reporting your earnings on your tax returns.

10. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete:

• Your profile information
• Your uploaded photos
• Your battle history and votes

Financial Records: Transaction records and earnings history are retained for 7 years for tax compliance and legal requirements, even after account deletion. This includes battle entry fees, winnings, and payout records.

Some data may be retained for legal compliance or security purposes for up to 90 days after deletion.
